When we say “beach”, we think of the sea, shells, tanning… well of course and the sand!
We have all, one day or another, tried to build a castle or to model a precise form. Manipulating sand to make sculptures is now an art in its own right. Young and old, alone, with friends or family, sculptors will have to show of imagination and fantasy.

AMAPANAP : Sports entertainment

A range of sporting, recreational and educational activities within the Marina and the adjacent beaches, the objective of which is to promote the attractiveness of the places but above all to create a base for long-term cooperation, the beneficiaries of which will be summer visitors to through their participation in activities (Free Swimming Competition, Initiation to Freediving, Sailboat Navigation Course, Beach Soccer Competition)

Sharing joy at Saïdia Mediterrania

After the event hosted by the stars of the “new scene”, the legendary Nass El Ghiwane enchanted visitors to Saïdia Mediterrania during a free concert.

The 2022 summer season at Saïdia Mediterrania is to mark a milestone in the young history of the resort. By offering residents of the Oriental region and national and international holidaymakers a series of events since the opening of the season last June, the Saïdia Resort teams have concocted a unique experience. Indeed, to enhance the stay of its visitors and the daily life of the inhabitants of the region, Saïdia Mediterrania has programmed a multitude of events and activities that have been dotted this summer season to satisfy all audiences: sporting event, fun parks, cultural program and diversified concerts that are rich in styles, popular music festival, street art event…

In the continuity of the concert which brought together a host of Moroccan pop music artists, organized by Saïdia Mediterrania, in partnership with Hitradio, the station was honored to welcome on Wednesday August 10, the legendary group Nass El Ghiwane to animate an unprecedented show marking the immortality of Ghiwani history and spirit. This renowned group, hero of the film El Hal directed by the prestigious Martin Scorsese and known for its wide repertoire of committed song, also qualified as the Beatles or the Rolling Stones of the Maghreb, has warmed hearts with its repertoire provided for a mixture of nostalgia and jovial atmosphere within the public of Saïdia.

Without any doubt, the Ghinawis artists conquered all of the public coming to attend the concert: from the youngest to the oldest. Despite the exclusivity of the Ghiwanian song distinguished by the complexity and richness of its lyrics, the artists have established contact with the present public and made this concert an inclusive event universalizing their music and targeting all age groups of the public of Saïdia.

“The entertainment program offered this season is just a taste of what awaits our guests in the years to come. Saïdia Mediterrania is synonymous with joy and this is precisely what we are trying to bring through the consolidation and enrichment of our entertainment program. We are convinced that this component is essential to the development of our destination’s touristic activity and in the entire region,” declared Mr. Jalil Bennis, Managing Director of the Development Company of Saïdia.

Thus, and on its momentum Saïdia Mediterrania plans in the years to come, to develop its events and animation component so as to target all the clientele of summer visitors, by setting up a large-scale and inclusive program with the aim of satisfying the public of “the blue pearl” and to expand the activities of the station in order to improve its attractiveness and its development at national and international level.

Saïdia Mediterrania is preparing to host a free concert with a host of performing artists Moroccan pop.

As part of the resort’s entertainment program for the 2022 summer season, a great lively evening awaits all visitors to Saïdia Mediterrania during a free concert organized by Saïdia Mediterrania in partnership with Hitradio, Saturday August 6, 2022, from 8 p.m. The music will resonate at the west beach of the tourist resort and the music stars will perform their greatest hits to delight the public present.

The set of this outdoor concert, open to the general public and which will be hosted by the host Momo, is made up of well-known and recognized Moroccan artists:
• Dj Byazed
• Fnaire
• Draganov
• Badr Soultan
• Hind Zyadi

True to its vocation as a promoter of talents and artists from the Eastern region, Saïdia Mediterrania, with the support of its partner Hit Radio, wanted to include two artists from the Region in the artistic program of the concert.
This concert will, thanks to its line up and its wide promotion and coverage, reach a wide target: local residents, national summer visitors, as well as Moroccan tourists from around the world. It also aims to reinforce the importance of artistic and cultural activities in the development of the station and to strengthen the influence of the station at the national and international level.

Public Speaking Competition

In partnership with the SDS, the Moroccan Club for the Environment and Development organized a Public Speaking competition on environmental themes to discuss as a family the causes and consequences of an environmental problem and to propose short and long-term solutions.

Hiking at the mouth of the Moulouya

In partnership with the SDS, the Moroccan Club for the Environment and Development organized a 13km hike at the SIBE de la Moulouya. This initiative aims to explore the importance of this site, to raise awareness of the preservation and protection of this natural heritage for sustainable development and to encourage eco-tourism in the region.

Folk Troupes

Presentation of the diversity and richness of Moroccan folk art through artistic performances (singing and dancing), for visitors to the Medina of Saïdia Mediterrania (Abidat Rma, Reggada, Hassada, Gnaoua, Dekka Lmerrakchia, Aissaoua, Houara).

Saïdia Mediterrania puts art and culture at the service of promoting the destination with the new Happy Walls concept

To mark the opening of the summer season, Saïdia Mediterrania inaugurates (or launches) a new concept of artistic and cultural entertainment aimed at the rehabilitation and embellishment of the walls of the medina of the seaside resort.

Organized from June 20 to June 30, 2022, this street art event, mural art in particular, is produced in partnership with the Tzouri Collective for Culture and Development, chaired by Mohammed Moumou, winner of the Madaëf Eco6 Edition Saïdia Mediterrania program, and will be open to the general public who will be able to appreciate the work of the artists live. The walls of the Medina Saïdia Mediterrania will be, at the end of the event, covered with colorful murals.

Happy Walls Saïdia Mediterrania will see the participation of internationally renowned graffiti artists alongside a selection of young artists from Saïdia and the eastern region. The works produced by these young artists will be in competition to determine the authors of the 3 best works which will be rewarded with prizes at the end of the competition.

The themes of the creations that the graffiti artists will propose will be inspired by the universes of Saïdia Mediterrania: Safeguarding the coastline, cultural heritage, crafts and terroir, sustainable tourism development, hinterland and human authenticity.
The participants, headlined by Fouad Abid, Mohamed Tarahdid, and Liky Brick, will give free rein to their imagination to immortalize on the walls all these themes that make up the soul of the station.

On the sidelines of the event, a day of cultural and artistic activities will be organized for the benefit of young children from the region. The artists will take advantage of their presence at Saïdia Mediterrania to pass on their knowledge to young children and participate in the creation of a mural fresco in a school in the region, as part of a partnership with the Noor association, chaired by Abdelatif Benazzi.

Saïdia Mediterrania thus intends to highlight the identity of the oriental region and an imaginary conducive to escape and discovery. “Through the themes addressed by the artists, we are working to diversify the region’s tourist offer outside the summer season, but also to promote a new form of tourism that is more sustainable and more authentic. In a concern for continuous improvement of the attractiveness of the destination, new innovative and structured actions will be carried out in coordination with all the stakeholders”, declares Jalil Bennis, Managing Director of the Saïdia’s Development Company.

The opportunity to share ideas on the challenges of interconnections between Tourism and Culture, is an essential sector in the country’s development process.

The originality is to make the artists dialogue with the public through the wall support, an ancient technique of expression -perhaps the oldest in the artistic field- which allows art, also a means of education and information, to be more accessible and to extend beyond museums, galleries and other dedicated places.

The organization of the event was born from the close collaboration between Saïda Mediterrania, the Collectif Tzouri association, the Noor association and the competent authorities. Such a partnership makes it possible to mobilize all the synergies to reinforce the driving role of tourism in the economic and social development of the country. Beyond that, it is the entire population, more particularly young people, who are involved in promoting the destination.

The format will be renewed annually to mark the opening of the summer season. It could be enriched with other actions, among other musical events, ephemeral souk and street food, with a view to establishing itself as a festival.

The 5 candidates for the Happy Walls competition are known

On the eve of the start of the first edition of Happy Walls, a street art and mural art event organized by Saïdia Mediterrania in collaboration with the Collectif Tzouri for culture and development, preparations are intensifying.
This cultural event, which will take place from June 20 to 28, will give birth to mural frescoes within the media site of the destination Saïdia Mediterrania, produced by 3 headliners (Fouad Abid, Mohamed Tarahdid and Lilly Brick) as well as 5 young graffiti artists who were selected following a call for applications which took place between May 25 and June 12 and which brought together nearly 40 applications.

The lucky candidates who were selected following a jury vote are:

– Abdel Benjana
– Adil Keng
– Mevok
– Zakaria Bassin
– Zen

These winners will be supported for their stay and the supply of the necessary material for the realization of their mural works. At the end of the competition, the authors of the 3 best works will be rewarded with prizes during the closing ceremony of the event on June 28.

As a reminder, the Happy Walls event aims to promote the identity of the Oriental region and to make young people aware of the practice of arts and culture. It includes a social component which will bring together participating artists, cultural educators and children from a primary school in the region during a day of entertainment with a multitude of fun and educational activities.

The first edition of Happy Walls achieves its objectives and ends in apotheosis

By creating Happy Walls, Saïdia Mediterrania welcomed the 2022 summer season with an incredible festival of shapes and colors. Indeed, and in the space of just ten days, artists specializing in mural art took possession of the medina enclosure of the Saïdia Mediterrania resort, from June 20 to 28, 2022, to transform the walls of the building and give them shimmering tones.

Each of the artists, both the 3 guest-stars and the 5 contestants gave free rein to their imagination. The result is spectacular!

All the visitors who have walked the alleys of the Medina during and after the artists left their mark there are unanimous. As this R’batie tourist with her family testifies: “It’s very joyful and it brings life to the Medina. Today we stroll through an open-air museum with picturesque works adorning the walls. Frankly, it’s a nice surprise.“

This wonderful adventure started almost a year ago. Indeed, and at the end of the Saïdia Mediterrania edition of the Madaef Eco 6 program, a new impetus was created for the cultural and tourist animation of the destination. Among the winners of the edition was Mohamed Moumou who at the same time acts as president of the Collectif Tzouri. This group for culture and development was then chosen to support the SDS in the development and production of useful cultural activities both for the Saïdia Mediterrania resort managed by the SDS, and for the promotion of arts and culture in the eastern region.

The format of the event is then defined, it will revolve around three complementary components:
First the realization of free frescoes by national and international artists of world renown. The 3 guest stars invited for the edition are: Lilly Brick (Spain), Fouad Abid (Morocco, from the region) and Mohamed Tarahdid (Morocco, from the region)
Then a competition open to young artists: 5 talents were selected from among the forty candidates who sent their portfolios to the organizing committee. It is:
Abdel Benjana
Adil Keng
Mevok
Zakaria Bassin
Zen
All the artists were bound by only one constraint: that the works they create be in accordance with one of the major axes of the Saidia Mediterrania tourism brand philosophy: Safeguarding the coastline, cultural heritage, craftsmanship and terroir, sustainable tourism development, hinterland and human authenticity.
Finally, a social action for the benefit of children from a local association.

Pour le volet compétition et après un vote serré, puisque tous les artistes ont fait preuve d’une grande créativité et démontré de réels talents techniques, 3 lauréats ont été récompensés :
1er Pice : « Abdel Benjana », « 10 000 MAD »
2ème Price : « Adil Keng », « 5 000 MAD »
3ème Price : « Zakaria Bassin », « 3 500 MAD »

The presentation of these prizes took place during the closing ceremony in which took part Mr. Mountassir Loukili, Regional Director of Culture of the Oriental Region and Mr. Youssef Zaki, President of the Regional Council of Tourism from the Oriental.
“We are very proud, through the Happy Walls initiative, to have opened our doors to mural artists from the Oriental region and beyond. By giving them the opportunity to express their talents on the walls of the Medina of Saïdia Mediterrania, we created an artistic and cultural animation which also benefited national and international tourists who visited the destination during its development. Their positive feedback has reached us and encourages us to continue on this path. We are now giving you an appointment at the next edition of Happy Walls” declared Mr. Jalil Bennis, Director General of the SDS.

Other visual artists have also been associated with the Happy Walls event. An exhibition and sale of paintings and sculptures took place at the same time in one of the rooms of the Radisson Blu Resort Saidia Beach hotel.

Finally, and in a desire to include the hinterland and in order to participate in the influence of art and culture among children and young people in the Oriental region, the organizing team wanted to program a social action as part of the Happy Walls event. It took place on Saturday June 26 within the magnificent complex of the association Maison Familiale Rurale of Beni Snassen and allowed a selection of artists among the participants in the event and the supervisors of the partner Colletif Tzouri to transmit their passion to the children of the association during fun educational workshops.
